Fw from Ms Terry Binnersly of Ottawa: re FROM OUR IDAHO WINDOW

Out my Ottawa window, there is new-fallen snow, as I read your thoughts on the future of this generation and your observations on what's become of the promise of the actions/movements of the previous generation(s).  It reads very much like an old-fashioned  letter, and provides companionship for my first coffee of the day ... 

I think of the position of "social democrats" occupying the "left" (displacing grassroots people)(claiming credit/taking up the space/doing nothing for others), some I've known, and understand why, frankly, you don't feel inclined to comment. At the same time the right has moved forcefully.

I'm sending a link to a novel approach to a documentary I recently came across on our provincial public broadcaster -- a look at New York's richest people, who live at one particular address on Park Avenue, beginning with the doorman's poignant comments! I think it's about an hour long:
