FBI probes police shooting of unarmed homeless man

In the old days, Albuquerque, N.M. -- to me as a young person -- was a pleasant big city.  The first time I drove through a big city, permitted to do so at age 16 by my accompanying parents -- it was on Highway 66 which then went right through Albuquerque's downtown area, across the Rio Grande, and then westward up a very, very long high hill toward far off Northern Arizona.  Albuquerque grew and grew -- and, in time, it no longer seemed pleasant to me.  In due course, its crime rate jumped high and its murder rate became one of the highest in the nation.  Then, as events followed events, it became clear that its police force left a hell of a lot to be desired -- and has been building a record for needless summary shootings of mostly poor people.

But this isn't, of course, just Albuquerque.  Needless shootings by lawmen are happening much all over this country.

The other day, Albuquerque police converged on an unarmed homeless man and simply shot him to death.  This was captured on film and has created a great big stir.  Here's the story:
