It is not that he is saying things that are new but rather that he is speaking from within the Jewish community. Perhaps more important, it appear in the Times, taking up a full half page. His conclusions are painful - the two state solution is dead, Israel is drifting to the right, and the liberal Zionist community has little chance of reversing the course. The article confirms my view that Gaza marks a sea change on the issue of US support for Israel, not only within the Jewish community but as a matter of national policy. If you get the Times, do check for this article.
