DSA could certainly require all candidates to accept skilled workers pay A very hypothetical "could." Candidates would say something like, "That would alienate some of my potential voters." DSA would likely back down. WHY DID they (Swedish Social Democrats) do as much as much as they did to strengthen workers collectively and improve their lives? One reason is that the Soviet Union provided its workers with strong social programs and protections.
