For Musk, hype about a breakthrough just around the corner is the key produ=
ct. The "plans" that he's confidently announced that have come to nought, o=
r are forever receding into the future, are innumerable. Tesla hasn't even =
managed a substantial rollout of autonomous taxicabs in a single city. A la=
unch of autonomous tractor-trailers next year is about as likely as a Mars =
colony.
