NYT Op Ed drawing parallels between British East India Corp and US Big Tech & A-I oligarchs

A lot of important history and parallels. Though it doesn't talk about the Africa Corporation, a British monopoly on the slave "trade" that was basically privately owned by the British royal family, or that the Queen's title also used to be "Empress of India".

Monthly Review has a great article, just out and not on-line yet, about the contemporary realities in India, rooted in the role of British and US imperialism in shaping the economy.
