Ocala Regional, but it might as well be many hospitals

It staggers the mind that your billing/account clerk who spoke to me about
these charges was so incompetent to not be able to identify the items you
claim were not paid by Medicare - and therefore, according to her, I am to
be held accountable, in spite of having FULL insurance coverage.

Addendum:
I'm posting this link here because I want it to show up in search engines
when anyone looks for information about Ocala Regional. If you have
comments for this letter, take them to the [email protected]
list for discussion. How often do they overcharge and bill for invalid
charges. According to the person I spoke to with an insurance company
which covers my drug charges, it happens all the time - and the sad part
is how often they are paid.

When I attempt to call OcalaRegional it is a voice mail which answers and
asks for my personal information, at which time I get transferred directly
to the collection agency, West Asset Mgt. That is also a violation of my
privacy. Of course they probably have something I signed (the small print)
which gave them some kind of authority to share that information but the
law use to protect one's privacy and may still protect it from this kind
of obfuscation of my rights. One cannot unknowingly or even knowingly
waive their rights by signing a release of those rights if done under
coercion, which would be the case when one is ill or about to enter a
hospital. The total charges, if you are curious for a stent (placed inside
another stent) was $66,000. The amount they are claiming I owe them is
$162.
