POINTER :: T Boone Pickens

What's up with T. Boone Pickens? Is he for real or just a clever 
entrepreneur? He proposes huge wind energy applications. He's heavily 
invested in wind energy. But also a conversion of cars to natural 
gas. Didn't he make his money in oil and gas?

We do have more natural gas reserves than the rest of the world. But 
do we have enough gas available (with more drilling) to run cars and 
still provide natural gas for our homes and power plants? 

At his web site, he contrasts a few thousand cars in the US on 
natural gas as compared to millions else where. At his web site, 
there is nothing addressing the difficulties of providing plentiful 
natural gas for cars across the country, much less the cost to 
convert our cars to gas, never mind automobile warranty restrictions. 
That's why he encourages us to contact our representatives, 
especially candidates for president. 

OPEC voted this week to reduce production in order to press oil 
prices up, from today's sixty four dollars a barren, down from one 
hundred and forty seven.

At least go to the web site. It's hard tough facts about foreign oil 
dependence.
