Re Spreading Wealth - The Spin

Yesterday I posted this article by Rita Beamish. It beshirched Palin and 
McCain for their attack on Obama by suggesting they were doing something 
similar. There was nothing similar about it. There is a world of 
difference between taking money away from those who provide jobs and 
spreading it as welfare which is what Obama has proposed.

Sharing the wealth from natural resources and observing the Alaskan 
Contitution is not the same thing as having it codified. The resources in 
Alaska are part of the commons which belongs to all Alaskans. Receiving 
dividends on those resources is a fine deal for the citizens of Alaska - a 
whole lot better than obfuscation of wealth with higher taxes. Instead of 
being attacked by the Obamabots and 4th Estate, Governor Palin should have 
been heaped with praise for what she has done for the national interest by 
getting energy; natural gas, which is the cleanest fossil fuel, to the 
lower 48.
