An enfeebled Obama

If Zbigniew Brzezinski had his way, the US would go to war against Israel
to defend Iran's nuclear installations.

In an interview with the Daily Beast Web site last weekend, the man who
served as former US president Jimmy Carter's national security adviser
said, "They [IAF fighter jets] have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are
we just going to sit there and watch? We have to be serious about denying
them that right. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have
the choice of turning back or not."

Brzezinski has long distinguished himself as one of the most outspoken
Israel-haters in polite circles in Washington. Under normal circumstances,
his remarks could be laughed off as the ravings of a garden variety
anti-Semite. But these are not normal circumstances. Brzezinski served as
a senior foreign policy adviser to Barack Obama during his 2008
presidential campaign, and his views are not terribly out of place among
Obama's senior advisers in the White House. In an interview in 2002,
Samantha Powers, who serves as a senior member of Obama's national
security council, effectively called for the US to invade Israel in
support of the Palestinians.

The fact of the matter is that Brzezinski's view is in line with the
general disposition of Obama's foreign policy. Since entering office,
Obama has struck a hard-line position against Israel while adopting a
soft, even apologetic line toward Iran and its allies.

For eight months, Obama has sought to force Israel to the wall. He has
loudly and repeatedly ordered the Netanyahu government to prevent all
private and public construction for Jews in Israel's capital city and its
heartland in order to facilitate the eventual mass expulsion of Jews from
both areas, which he believes ought to become part of a Jew-free
Palestinian state.

Until this week, Obama conditioned the resumption of negotiations toward
peace between Israel and the Palestinians on such a prohibition of Jewish
building and so encouraged Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas to further
radicalize his positions toward Israel. Until Obama came around, Abbas had
no problem negotiating with Israeli leaders while Jews were building homes
and schools and other structures in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. But with
Obama requiring a freeze of all such construction, Abbas made clear in an
interview with The Washington Post in May that he couldn't talk to Prime
Minister Binyamin Netanyahu without looking like a sellout.

Obama made no equivalent demands of the Palestinians. He did not
precondition talks on freezing illegal Arab construction in Jerusalem, or
on dismantling the Aksa Martyrs Brigades terrorist group, or even simply
on setting aside the Palestinian demand that Israel release convicted
terrorists from its prisons. To the contrary, he has energetically
supported the establishment of a Palestinian unity government between
Fatah and Hamas - which the US State Department has since 1995 designated
as a foreign terrorist organization to which US citizens, including the US
president, are required by law to give no quarter.

As for Iran, during his meeting with Netanyahu in May, Obama gave the
clear impression that the Iranian regime had until September to accept his
offer to negotiate the disposition of its nuclear installations. But it is
now September, and in its belated response to Obama's generous offer of
engagement, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's regime rejected the
terms of Obama's engagement out of hand. Obama did not retaliate by taking
his offer to negotiate off the table or - perish the thought - working to
implement the sanctions he had pledged would follow an Iranian rejection
of his open hand.

Instead, Obama announced that he is sending a senior US official to meet
with the Iranians on October 1. And with that announcement, any residual
doubt that Obama is willing to live in a world in which Iran is armed with
nuclear weaponry dissipated completely.

In the meantime, in his address to the UN General Assembly on Wednesday
and in his remarks at his meeting with Netanyahu and Abbas on Tuesday,
Obama made clear that, in the words of former US ambassador to the UN John
Bolton, he has "put Israel on the chopping block." He referred to Israeli
communities located beyond the 1949 armistice lines as "illegitimate."

Moreover, Obama explained that Israel can no longer expect US support for
its security if it doesn't bow to his demand that it surrender all of the
land it has controlled since 1967.

Apparently it is immaterial to the US leader that if Israel fulfilled his
demand, the Jewish state would render itself defenseless against enemy
attack and so embolden its neighbors to invade. That is, it matters not to
Obama that were Israel to fulfill his demand, the prospect of an Arab war
against Israel would rise steeply. The fact that Obama made these deeply
antagonistic statements about Israel at the UN in itself exposes his
hostility toward the country. The UN's institutional hostility toward
Israel is surpassed only by that of the Arab League and the Organization
of the Islamic Conference.

So given Obama's positions toward Israel on the one hand and Iran and its
allies on the other, it seems clear enough that the logical endpoint of
Obama's policies would look something like Brzezinski's recommended course
of action. Moreover, Obama's foreign policy as a whole makes it fairly
easy to imagine him ordering the US military to open hostilities against a
US ally to defend a US adversary - even as that adversary goes out of its
way to humiliate Obama personally and the US in general.

Since Obama took office, he has been abandoning one US ally after another
while seeking to curry favor with one US adversary after another. At every
turn, America's allies - from Israel to Honduras, to Columbia, South Korea
and Japan, to Poland and the Czech Republic - have reacted with disbelief
and horror to his treachery. And at every turn, America's adversaries -
from Iran to Venezuela to North Korea and Russia - have responded with
derision and contempt to his seemingly obsessive attempts to appease them.

The horror Obama has instilled in America's friends and the contempt he
has evoked from its enemies have not caused him to change course. The fact
that his policies throughout the world have already failed to bring a
change in the so-called international community's treatment of the US has
not led him to reconsider those policies. As many Western Europeans have
begun to openly acknowledge, the man they once likened to the messiah is
nothing but a politician - and a weak, bungling one at that. Even
Britain's Economist is laughing at him.

But Obama is unmoved by any of this, and as his speech at the UN General
Assembly made clear, he is moving full speed ahead in his plans to
subordinate US foreign policy to the UN.

His stubborn insistence on advancing his feckless foreign policy in the
face of its already apparent colossal failure is of a piece with his
unswerving commitment to his domestic agenda in spite of its apparent
colossal failure. Obama's economic stimulus package failed to stimulate
the US economy and increased the US's economic deficit to heights
undreamed of by his predecessors. His nationalization of major US
corporations like General Motors, his cash-for-clunkers program to
stimulate the US auto industry and his massive encroachments on the
banking and financial industries have done nothing to increase economic
growth in the US and indeed, unemployment has reached generational highs.
And yet, rather than reconsider his belief in vastly expanding the size of
the federal government's control over the private sector, Obama has
insistently pushed for further governmental control over the US economy -
most notably in his drive to transform the US health care industry.

Both Obama's supporters and his opponents have claimed that his presidency
may well stand or fall on his ability to pass a health care reform law in
the coming months. But the fact of the matter is that if he succeeds in
passing such a law, his success will be a Pyrrhic victory because Obama
has promised that his plan will do the impossible, and therefore it will
unquestionably fail.

He has promised that the health care plan he supports will increase access
to health services and improve their quality, but simultaneously will not
increase the size of the federal deficit or be funded with tax hikes - and
this is impossible. Obama's health care plan will fail either to pass into
law, or if it becomes law, it will fail to live up to his promises.

Obama's failures in both foreign and domestic policy have weakened him
politically. His response to this newfound weakness has been to put
himself into the public eye seemingly around the clock. Apparently the
thinking behind the move is that while Obama's policies are unpopular,
Obama's personal popularity remains high, so if he personalizes his
policies, it will become more difficult for his opponents to argue against
them.

But alas, this policy too has failed. The more Obama exposes himself, the
less he is able to leverage his personal celebrity into political power.

The question for the US's spurned allies in general - and for Israel in
particular - is whether we are better off with a politically strong Obama
or a politically weak Obama. Given that the general thrust of his foreign
policy is detrimental to our interests, America's allies are best served
by a weak Obama. Already this week Israel benefitted from his weakness. It
was Obama's weakness that dictated his need to stage a photo-op with
Netanyahu and Abbas at the UN. And it was this need - to be seen as doing
something productive - that outweighed Obama's desire to put the screws on
Israel by preconditioning talks with a freeze on Jewish construction. So
Obama was forced to relent at least temporarily and Netanyahu won his
first round against Obama.

During a television interview this week, Sen. John McCain was asked for
his opinion of Brzezinski's recommendation that the US shoot down IAF jets
en route to Iran in a hypothetical Israeli air strike against Iran's
nuclear installations. He responded with derisive laughter. And indeed,
the notion that the US would go to war against Israel to protect Iran's
nuclear installations is laughably absurd.

The weaker Obama becomes politically, the more readily Democrats and
liberal reporters alike will acknowledge that attacking US allies while
scraping and bowing before US foes is a ridiculous strategy for foreign
affairs. Certainly no self-proclaimed realist can defend a policy based on
denuding the US of its power and forsaking a US-based international system
for one dictated by its foes.

It is true that a weakened Obama will seek to win cheap points by putting
the squeeze on Israel. But it is also true that the weaker Obama becomes,
the less capable he will be of carrying through on his bullying threats
against Israel and against fellow democracies around the world.

'They [IAF fighter jets] have to fly over our airspace in Iraq'- America
Babylon

The old Yiddish saying ; Man plans ,God laugh's, a modernized version for
our time ; Israel plans God laughs.
For so long Israel has held the great and super powerful United States up
high on a pedestal ,becoming dependant on it for promises of security and
peace, all false. In a short time it's all been blown away by a slick
talking punk from Chicago.
Israel has kept ultra loyal the US led peace agenda in spite of it's 100%
failure rate since it was implemented in 1993 on the White House lawn, all
the while ignoring their God and His peace plan.
Exuddus 23:27-33I will send My fear before you, I will cause confusion
among all the people to whom you come, and will make all your enemies turn
their backs to you. And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive
out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite from before you. I will not
drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate
and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. Little by little
I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you
inherit the land. And I will set your bounds from the Red Sea to the sea,
Philistia, and from the desert to the River. For I will deliver the
inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out
before you. You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me. For
if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.
Blind obedience to the thing on the high pedestal while ignoring God is
not a good thing.
As Caroline points out so well ,the object on Israel's devotion and trust
is reduced to a nation led by dangerous idiots not to be trusted.
God has shattered your false hope into a thousand pieces.
He is now removing from Israel the delusion of trusting in peace without
Him.It's always better and less painful to do it His way and not trust in
slick talking hustlers from Chicago or Skull & Bonesman from Crawford,
Texas. It's past time to return to Him and throw away the worthless idols
which cannot save.
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he
turneth it whithersoever he will.
Proverbs 21:1

In so many ways the Jewish people have saved many lives and made our
modern world possible. How could anyone doubt that God's chosen is Israel?
Why would anyone not want a Jew for a friend or neighbor? I'm an American
soldier who thanks God for the Jewish state and prays for Israel daily. I
was thankful for the IAF in Desert Storm. If not for Operation Opera in
'79 things would certainly have been more dangerous for everyone.
I fear for America under the terms of Bereshit 12:3. This gentile American
is singing HaTikvah, loathing this uniform and praying for wisdom and
courage for our Generals, the IDF/AF and Prime Minister Netanyahu. If he
can carry a hallel in a bucket, I hope it's not too late for an encore.

It's obvious that Israel would better off with a politically weakened
President Obama. If the Obama Administration continues to bungle its
foreign and domestic policies, the President could become a lame duck
sooner. As President Obama weakens, his conservative rivals are
fine-tuning their message for 2012. President Obama's misguided engagement
strategy has emboldened Iran to continue with its diabolical nuclear
program. And Mr. Obama may turnout to be a one-term wonder that
disappointed neo-liberals nave enough to believe in him.
By David Francis on September 26, 2009 8:26 AM

I agree 100% with Marcel. I think a weaker Obama would be better for
America too. He seems bent on doing as much damage as possible in the time
that he has. The scary part is, I think he knows exactly what he's doing.
As for Brzezinski, what an imbecile of a foreign policy adviser! In that
capacity, he should be sensitive of issues affecting all nations. However,
he chooses to offend all concerned except the most offensive, namely Iran.
He completely discredits a friendship that has lasted hundreds of years
between Israel and America. He blames Israel if the IAF doesn't back down
and gets shot while defending their home and literally the world. This is
the logic of terrorists.
He offends the nation of Iraq by presuming Iraqi airspace to belong to the
U.S. We're supposed to be defending Iraq from terrorists while they
develop their own nation. Iraq doesn't want a nuclear Iran either. So, he
wishes to threaten their security as well.
He offends the U.S. military in Iraq by assuming they have committed an
exploitative take over of Iraq for his purpose. Just as the rest of the
left world has accused the U.S. of since late 2003. He should instead
commend them for defending a nation not their own.
He did get one thing right; America is not, "impotent babies". America
does have a navy. They should be offended by omission. Isn't the U.S. Navy
capable of defending the Strait of Hormuz? I may be naive here but I
should think it's in the best interest of Yemen, Qatar, Saudi Arabia,
Kuwait, Iraq and even Iran to keep the strait open. The U.S. Navy should
find good company with such a mission. That would be unthinkable for
Zbigniew as God's people could benefit from such a move.
One happy side I hear from Joel Rosenburg, is that the more Ahmadinejad
rants on like Psalm 83:2-8, the more Iranians are praying for Israel. I
hear that 1.3 million Iranians are currently praying for the Jewish state.
I just received an email from a Shiite Iraqi friend of mine to tell me how
nice the people of Israel are. Hallelujah! When I met him he wouldn't say
the name or acknowledge the presence of Israel. Millions of Americans are
praying regularly now for Israel. I ponder at what point will Obama's
administration want Ahmadinejad to shut up. Not soon enough for either
side. The only good thing my small mind and human eyes can see is maybe an
Iranian missile could clear the Threshing Floor. I'm curious to see how
Jerusalem will be protected. At any rate I will feel safer in Jerusalem
than in Washington, D.C.

looks like there is a great success to PM Netanyahu but seems like they
believe that he used Iran to "dodge" the palestinain issue but lack the
understanding that Iran is a much greate problem then solving the conflict
with the palestinians. And ofcourse using quotes from haartze to make iran
seem like a fake threat to the world used by israel to make the debate be
about iran nuck instead of the Israel-Palestinian conflict

A part of Brzezinski's interview that you don't highlight shows the depth
of his anti-Israel sentiment. He speaks of "a Liberty in reverse." The USS
Liberty was a technical research vessel collecting intel, attacked by
Israeli forces during the Six-Day War. Both the Israeli and U.S.
governments concluded the attack was an accident, a mistake. Brzezinski
apparently believes it was deliberate -- otherwise, a deliberate attack on
Israeli aircraft could not be "a Liberty in reverse." (My husband, aka
"The Hoosier Gadfly" (http://paulhager.org/wordpress/)) is the one who
alerted me on this point.)
By DaveP on September 28, 2009 2:46 AM

Quote:The UN's institutional hostility toward Israel is surpassed only by
that of the Arab League and the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

At least these two have some excuse -the Arab league is made uo of
Muslims, and the UN is made up of members who have dire need of oil. But
the hostility of the state funded BBC towards Israel, has no such excuse.

Now for Zbigniew Brzezinski. Wasn't he the secretary of state in the
Carter era? He just about got everything wrong then - both major and
minor. His legacy is the Khomeini Islamist regime, whose nuclear ambitions
are the cause of so much disarray in the West and Israel. So why is anyone
giving him the time of day? If Obama is doing so, then it indicates the
shallowness of Obama and his team.
By Ron Grandinetti on September 28, 2009 1:30 PM

Caroline, Brzesinski is just one of a number of the liberal left wing nuts
who are coming out of the woodwork in support of Obama, a dark skin Jimmy
Carter resurrected.

Bill OReilly in his book Culture Warrior talks about the secular
progressive, disciples of George Soros.

With the advent of Obama arriving on the scene, they are growing strong
like grass seeds in early spring.

You have to wonder what the kool-aid drinkers are thinking, is this the
same candidate Obama? Fooled you didnt he.

To say Obama is not an anti-Semite is like saying birds dont fly. He acts
like a cheerleader for the Palestinians while scolding Israel for her
existence.

I personal object to his behavior towards Israel, our good friend, trusted
ally and a democracy the only one in the ME.

Obama would not think of instructing any other sovereign nation such as
Canada, GB, France and Germany on how to run their governments therefore
where does he come off dictating to Israel also a sovereign nation?

His arrogance is showing more and more with his failure to convince the
American public to accept his health plan and other bad programs.

He is over exposing himself for the fool he is. Every time you tune in, he
is on TV trying to sell his wares. Sometimes I think its like the "Big
Brother" syndrome; he is watching us through the TV. A word to the wise
is; be sure to turn off your TV in the bedroom, the creep.

He has awakened Americans from the slumber and the next several elections
should seal his fate as a lame duck. (Sorry ducks didnt mean to be
disrespectful).

Israel has to avoid meeting with any of his delegates and go about their
business as usual and doing what is best for Israel, remember his views do
not reflect the attitude of the Americans towards Israel, they are his own
and those of his administration.

Ah, Caroline...what a wonderful piece. The last time I heard you speak it
was at Restoration Weekend a couple of years ago. Your passionate words
continue to echo in my soul...NEVER AGAIN!!!

I think we've got Obama right where we need him to be.

An enfeebled Obama is not only less of a threat to Israel, but also for
those of us in the USA who love our country and those who support Israel.
The glitz and glitter is quickly fading from Obama and the short-lived
romance with "change" has turned to mistrust and doubt for many of us in
America. Thank you Caroline for your eye-opening commentary.
By Captainchaos on September 29, 2009 11:42 AM

Brzezinski is an interesting character. I suspect much of his foreign
policy prescriptions lie in his perhaps unconscious attachment to Polish
nationalism and historic antagonisms flowing there from (e.g., the
liquidation of the Polish officer corps and intelligentsia at Katyn,
non-Polish Party bosses who assumed control of Poland post-war). He would
benefit greatly by being informed that exclusive territory, in the form of
Israel, is the indispensable guarantor of the genetic continuity of the
Jewish people; no less than his beloved Poland. Of course, given his
neo-liberal appointments, the degree to which he actually cares for the
continuation of the very being of his own people - that is their genetic
continuity - and the passing own of European Man more generally, is
debatable.

Speaking for myself, I can say without hesitation that is of the highest
concern to me.

Back in 2005 after Israeli Prime Minister Sharon 'the Bulldozer' was
reduced to a limp noodle after his White House meeting with President
Bush, word came that PM Sharon would soon ethnically cleanse all Jews from
their homes and land in Gush Katif (Gaza) to please this treacherous and
evil betrayer of Israel.
P.M.Sharon was threatened by the President and it worked.
This was hidden by almost all the media and his faithful dumb Republican
voters never dug deep to find out what REALLY happened.
Just like the loyal see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil monkeys they
are they covered it up so as not to question their demi-god.
These hypocrites and phony supporters of Israel in empty words only, even
supported this fraud in the 2004 elections,2 years after he had become the
first president to call for a Palestinian state and after 4 years of
always restraining and pressuring Israel and rewarding the Islamic
terrorists of the Palestinian variety.
Some voices rose up to resist this evil and one of them was a Christian
Pastor from Oklohama who promised to bring thousands of Christian
supporters to Israel.
It was all hot air false hope, empty hype that got the Jews targeted by
President Bush hopes dashed.
Even after this successful move by the president to begin implementing his
final 2 state solution under the turncoat Sharon the faithful idiots on
the right continued to suppport their evil president.
Now they are brave to rail against the other hypocrite and evil one on the
left Obama.
You can be sure their silence will return when another fraud with an R.
after his name arises. They are easily duped.
The only reason empty talkers still offer Israel false hope of a future
election to change anything is that they are the blind leading the blind
as it was this pastor from Oklohama who was himself deceived by the wolf
in sheeps costume Bush.
All it takes is a good speech and a bible in hand and these slaves bow and
worship on cue.
The Pastor gave the Jews of Gush Katif false hope with usleless words of
support that amounted no nothing.
How was it that so many supporters of Israel were decieved by this snake
Bush?
They suffer from the same fatal disease of their fellow travelers the
Donkey worshipers.
It is because they are in bondage to their elephant god they worship known
as GOP. Whatever has the stamp of the elephant is holy to theses blind
fools.
The Republican party like it's sister the Democrat party have the final
solution Road Map to divide Israel as their Party Platform so it is a lie
that a replacemet for Obama will do anything good for Israel.Your only
hope is in God and wicked, perverted America is cursed ,finished.

While I appreciate Caroline's brilliant journalistic style and ability to
"tell it like it is" (w/o nods to political correctness etc) - I would
object her consistent portrayal of Obama's administration as sworn (albeit
denying that) enemies of Israel who only think about giving its blood to
its REAL enemies - we all know who they are. I disagree that "the best
Obama is a weakened one" (paraphrasing famous saying). His team did
attempt to apply "even handed" approach to the Israel-Arab conflict
resolution but it obviously didn't work b/c Arabs are not willing to
negotiate peace seriously as we all know. But there are signs that they
(Obama team) learn at least on their mistakes - which I couldn't say about
"team Bush" and adjust their standing. That applies to the hyped issues of
"settlements" (which I agree are very very minor issue compared to Arab
incitement and refusal to recognize Israel as Jewish state). Here's what
Netaniyahu said on the subject in his recent CNN interview:
-----------------------------------------------
BLITZER: Mr. Prime Minister, there was an op-ed article written in "The
New York Times" back in July by an Israeli journalist named Aluf Benn, who
writes for the "Haaretz" newspaper. And, among other things, he said that
President Obama is ignoring Israel, has not visited Israel, even though
he's been to several Arab countries, and he's not reaching out to the
Israeli people, the way he's reaching out to the Arab and Muslim world. He
hasn't given any interviews, as far as I know, to the Israeli press, for
example, or Israeli television. Do you agree with that assessment?

NETANYAHU: I think that people should not rush to judgment. I think that
these are two new administrations, my own new government and the new
government in Washington. We have found a way to communicate. I think we
have resolved a lot of the issues between us. We can have differences.
That happens among the best of friends. It even happens in our own
families.

But I think there's a growing closeness that I have found. What people
don't know - and I'm not referring to the public diplomacy - but I want to
tell you something about private diplomacy. There's virtually not a day
that goes by that the Obama administration and my own government don't
communicate on a very senior level on very important matters in a very
confidential and respectful way.

And I say that advisedly. I'm choosing my words carefully. There's barely
a day that goes by without that happening. So, that should give you some
indication of the growing, of the closeness of that relationship. And it's
getting better, for sure. There's no question about it.
----------------------------------------------

I know I will draw ire of most of readers of this blog - but let us all
try to be more fact based and unbiased - after all that's what Israel
demands on UN and other institutions that "investigate" Gaza operation.
Thanks!
By Claudia on October 2, 2009 12:50 AM

While the analysis is great my concern is how to stop this Obama creep
from destroying all of us and our respective countries. Bush at least is a
Christian and saw things from that perspective, and still did things that
I do not consider good for my country. Such as not stopping Islamic
immigration after 9/11. Frankly we still treat the Saudi's as though they
are our friends, and they ARE NOT! Bush could have taken out the suspected
Iranian nuclear sites at any time from Iraq. What kind of morons really
believe it is for tiny Israel to solve the "Iranian problem" because they
are threatened? So are we, and we aren't doing it!
By Frank on October 2, 2009 1:10 AM

That Obama does what he does is understandable - he's a Jew-hating,
empty-headed Moslem, doing some behind-the-scenes-big-boy's bidding. That
his Jewish supporters can participate in this destruction of America and
Israel - this is the real amazement.

Caroline,

Every time I watch Obama and his attempts at foreign policy, I'm reminded
of the words of Thomas Paine: "Men who look upon themselves born to reign,
and others to obey, soon grow insolent; selected from the rest of mankind
their minds are early poisoned by importance; and the world they act in
differs so materially from the world at large, that they have but little
opportunity of knowing it's true interests, and when they succeed to the
government are frequently the most ignorant and unfit of any throughout
the dominions."

Thought Experiment:

If Barack Hussein Obama were an Iranian sleeper agent tasked with
attaining the US Presidency and then degrading the US strategic position

what would be doing differently now?

Letter to an acquantiance.
Dear J.
I don't think Afghanistan is the last stroke of the hand or pen,it's just
one on many wars that have worn out our military and wasted hundreds of
billlions of dollars.
For some time I've seen that America under God's curse will fail at
everything,so the government/media is reduced to lying about how great
everything is and holding confrences and meetings where blah, blah, blah is
all that's accomplished.
The Bush Clinton,Bush criminals have brought America to the point of no
return, the price of their destroy Israel by peace scheme.
Genesis 12:3 is in effect and Obama is just leading the final charge over
the cliff.

Back in the mid 90's when I saw the remains of the public transport bus on
Jaffa and Sari Yisrael St. in Jerusalem where a Palestinian suicide bomber
killed so many men women and children and heard the Bully US incessant
pressure for Israel to restrain it's response for their fake peace I knew
God was going to start killing young American's for this evil.

It happened with the Afghan and Iraq war and continues with no end in
sight.
They are repeats of the failed Vietnam war only with terminal
consequences.
Our enemies see us as vunerable and worn out ,a perfect time to make their
move against us.
I still think the end (US) is tied to Iran's EVENTUAL surprise move.
They have patiently worked towards their goal for some time and are very
close to the endgame.
So far no EU figure is speaking great things and blasphemies.
Islam is making great moves in Europe and in the US with the help of the
godless left. It's God's judgment on the west and Israel suffers the same
judgment for their faithless ways.
God has allowed Israel to get pushed up against the wall where they will
have to push back hard against Islam.
The vise squeezes until there is a counter reaction.
Jeremiah 51 :17-26 is what God is up to that most Christians don't see.
Watching,

Maybe Dan from Piter can chime in from his rose window but to answer Paul
Kotik, I can't imagine anything done differently. If Paul's thoughts are
true, Barak's cover is getting thin. That so many would still support him
baffles me. Since last November's election, I've feared America is in the
"last daze". So far things have progressed as I suspected.

In these most dangerous times when Western civilization is under a mortal
threat by apocalyptic zealots, Obamas irretrievably political naivety and
idealistic foreign policy divinations against irreconcilable implacable
foes, makes him the most dangerous president ever to occupy the White
House. And as Caroline states sagely, only a politically weak Obama can
prevent him from implementing policies that would fracture America from
its close allies and would in turn seriously endanger the vital interests
of the civilized world, and indeed, of Israel, which being an outpost of
Western civilization among barbarians is at the forefront fighting
fanatical Islam.

An enfeebled Obama<br>
September 25, 2009, 7:57 PM<br>
<br>
(Includes Comments (21))<br>
<br>
If Zbigniew Brzezinski had his way, the US would go to war against Israel <br>
to defend Iran's nuclear installations.<br>
<br>
In an interview with the Daily Beast Web site last weekend, the man who <br>
served as former US president Jimmy Carter's national security adviser <br>
said, &quot; They [IAF fighter jets] have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are <br>
we just going to sit there and watch? We have to be serious about denying <br>
them that right. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have <br>
the choice of turning back or not.&quot;<br>
<br>
Brzezinski has long distinguished himself as one of the most outspoken <br>
Israel-haters in polite circles in Washington. Under normal circumstances, <br>
his remarks could be laughed off as the ravings of a garden variety <br>
anti-Semite. But these are not normal circumstances. Brzezinski served as <br>
a senior foreign policy adviser to Barack Obama during his 2008 <br>
presidential campaign, and his views are not terribly out of place among <br>
Obama's senior advisers in the White House. In an interview in 2002, <br>
Samantha Powers, who serves as a senior member of Obama's national <br>
security council, effectively called for the US to invade Israel in <br>
support of the Palestinians.<br>
<br>
The fact of the matter is that Brzezinski's view is in line with the <br>
general disposition of Obama's foreign policy. Since entering office, <br>
Obama has struck a hard-line position against Israel while adopting a <br>
soft, even apologetic line toward Iran and its allies.<br>
<br>
For eight months, Obama has sought to force Israel to the wall. He has <br>
loudly and repeatedly ordered the Netanyahu government to prevent all <br>
private and public construction for Jews in Israel's capital city and its <br>
heartland in order to facilitate the eventual mass expulsion of Jews from <br>
both areas, which he believes ought to become part of a Jew-free <br>
Palestinian state.<br>
<br>
Until this week, Obama conditioned the resumption of negotiations toward <br>
peace between Israel and the Palestinians on such a prohibition of Jewish <br>
building and so encouraged Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas to further <br>
radicalize his positions toward Israel. Until Obama came around, Abbas had <br>
no problem negotiating with Israeli leaders while Jews were building homes <br>
and schools and other structures in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. But with <br>
Obama requiring a freeze of all such construction, Abbas made clear in an <br>
interview with The Washington Post in May that he couldn't talk to Prime <br>
Minister Binyamin Netanyahu without looking like a sellout.<br>
<br>
Obama made no equivalent demands of the Palestinians. He did not <br>
precondition talks on freezing illegal Arab construction in Jerusalem, or <br>
on dismantling the Aksa Martyrs Brigades terrorist group, or even simply <br>
on setting aside the Palestinian demand that Israel release convicted <br>
terrorists from its prisons. To the contrary, he has energetically <br>
supported the establishment of a Palestinian unity government between <br>
Fatah and Hamas - which the US State Department has since 1995 designated <br>
as a foreign terrorist organization to which US citizens, including the US <br>
president, are required by law to give no quarter.<br>
<br>
As for Iran, during his meeting with Netanyahu in May, Obama gave the <br>
clear impression that the Iranian regime had until September to accept his <br>
offer to negotiate the disposition of its nuclear installations. But it is <br>
now September, and in its belated response to Obama's generous offer of <br>
engagement, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad'<wbr>s regime rejected the <br>
terms of Obama's engagement out of hand. Obama did not retaliate by taking <br>
his offer to negotiate off the table or - perish the thought - working to <br>
implement the sanctions he had pledged would follow an Iranian rejection <br>
of his open hand.<br>
<br>
Instead, Obama announced that he is sending a senior US official to meet <br>
with the Iranians on October 1. And with that announcement, any residual <br>
doubt that Obama is willing to live in a world in which Iran is armed with <br>
nuclear weaponry dissipated completely.<br>
<br>
In the meantime, in his address to the UN General Assembly on Wednesday <br>
and in his remarks at his meeting with Netanyahu and Abbas on Tuesday, <br>
Obama made clear that, in the words of former US ambassador to the UN John <br>
Bolton, he has &quot;put Israel on the chopping block.&quot; He referred to Israeli <br>
communities located beyond the 1949 armistice lines as &quot;illegitimate.<wbr>&quot;<br>
<br>
Moreover, Obama explained that Israel can no longer expect US support for <br>
its security if it doesn't bow to his demand that it surrender all of the <br>
land it has controlled since 1967.<br>
<br>
Apparently it is immaterial to the US leader that if Israel fulfilled his <br>
demand, the Jewish state would render itself defenseless against enemy <br>
attack and so embolden its neighbors to invade. That is, it matters not to <br>
Obama that were Israel to fulfill his demand, the prospect of an Arab war <br>
against Israel would rise steeply. The fact that Obama made these deeply <br>
antagonistic statements about Israel at the UN in itself exposes his <br>
hostility toward the country. The UN's institutional hostility toward <br>
Israel is surpassed only by that of the Arab League and the Organization <br>
of the Islamic Conference.<br>
<br>
So given Obama's positions toward Israel on the one hand and Iran and its <br>
allies on the other, it seems clear enough that the logical endpoint of <br>
Obama's policies would look something like Brzezinski's recommended course <br>
of action. Moreover, Obama's foreign policy as a whole makes it fairly <br>
easy to imagine him ordering the US military to open hostilities against a <br>
US ally to defend a US adversary - even as that adversary goes out of its <br>
way to humiliate Obama personally and the US in general.<br>
<br>
Since Obama took office, he has been abandoning one US ally after another <br>
while seeking to curry favor with one US adversary after another. At every <br>
turn, America's allies - from Israel to Honduras, to Columbia, South Korea <br>
and Japan, to Poland and the Czech Republic - have reacted with disbelief <br>
and horror to his treachery. And at every turn, America's adversaries - <br>
from Iran to Venezuela to North Korea and Russia - have responded with <br>
derision and contempt to his seemingly obsessive attempts to appease them.<br>
<br>
The horror Obama has instilled in America's friends and the contempt he <br>
has evoked from its enemies have not caused him to change course. The fact <br>
that his policies throughout the world have already failed to bring a <br>
change in the so-called international community's treatment of the US has <br>
not led him to reconsider those policies. As many Western Europeans have <br>
begun to openly acknowledge, the man they once likened to the messiah is <br>
nothing but a politician - and a weak, bungling one at that. Even <br>
Britain's Economist is laughing at him.<br>
<br>
But Obama is unmoved by any of this, and as his speech at the UN General <br>
Assembly made clear, he is moving full speed ahead in his plans to <br>
subordinate US foreign policy to the UN.<br>
<br>
His stubborn insistence on advancing his feckless foreign policy in the <br>
face of its already apparent colossal failure is of a piece with his <br>
unswerving commitment to his domestic agenda in spite of its apparent <br>
colossal failure. Obama's economic stimulus package failed to stimulate <br>
the US economy and increased the US's economic deficit to heights <br>
undreamed of by his predecessors. His nationalization of major US <br>
corporations like General Motors, his cash-for-clunkers program to <br>
stimulate the US auto industry and his massive encroachments on the <br>
banking and financial industries have done nothing to increase economic <br>
growth in the US and indeed, unemployment has reached generational highs. <br>
And yet, rather than reconsider his belief in vastly expanding the size of <br>
the federal government's control over the private sector, Obama has <br>
insistently pushed for further governmental control over the US economy - <br>
most notably in his drive to transform the US health care industry.<br>
<br>
Both Obama's supporters and his opponents have claimed that his presidency <br>
may well stand or fall on his ability to pass a health care reform law in <br>
the coming months. But the fact of the matter is that if he succeeds in <br>
passing such a law, his success will be a Pyrrhic victory because Obama <br>
has promised that his plan will do the impossible, and therefore it will <br>
unquestionably fail.<br>
<br>
He has promised that the health care plan he supports will increase access <br>
to health services and improve their quality, but simultaneously will not <br>
increase the size of the federal deficit or be funded with tax hikes - and <br>
this is impossible. Obama's health care plan will fail either to pass into <br>
law, or if it becomes law, it will fail to live up to his promises.<br>
<br>
Obama's failures in both foreign and domestic policy have weakened him <br>
politically. His response to this newfound weakness has been to put <br>
himself into the public eye seemingly around the clock. Apparently the <br>
thinking behind the move is that while Obama's policies are unpopular, <br>
Obama's personal popularity remains high, so if he personalizes his <br>
policies, it will become more difficult for his opponents to argue against <br>
them.<br>
<br>
But alas, this policy too has failed. The more Obama exposes himself, the <br>
less he is able to leverage his personal celebrity into political power.<br>
<br>
The question for the US's spurned allies in general - and for Israel in <br>
particular - is whether we are better off with a politically strong Obama <br>
or a politically weak Obama. Given that the general thrust of his foreign <br>
policy is detrimental to our interests, America's allies are best served <br>
by a weak Obama. Already this week Israel benefitted from his weakness. It <br>
was Obama's weakness that dictated his need to stage a photo-op with <br>
Netanyahu and Abbas at the UN. And it was this need - to be seen as doing <br>
something productive - that outweighed Obama's desire to put the screws on <br>
Israel by preconditioning talks with a freeze on Jewish construction. So <br>
Obama was forced to relent at least temporarily and Netanyahu won his <br>
first round against Obama.<br>
<br>
During a television interview this week, Sen. John McCain was asked for <br>
his opinion of Brzezinski's recommendation that the US shoot down IAF jets <br>
en route to Iran in a hypothetical Israeli air strike against Iran's <br>
nuclear installations. He responded with derisive laughter. And indeed, <br>
the notion that the US would go to war against Israel to protect Iran's <br>
nuclear installations is laughably absurd.<br>
<br>
The weaker Obama becomes politically, the more readily Democrats and <br>
liberal reporters alike will acknowledge that attacking US allies while <br>
scraping and bowing before US foes is a ridiculous strategy for foreign <br>
affairs. Certainly no self-proclaimed realist can defend a policy based on <br>
denuding the US of its power and forsaking a US-based international system <br>
for one dictated by its foes.<br>
<br>
It is true that a weakened Obama will seek to win cheap points by putting <br>
the squeeze on Israel. But it is also true that the weaker Obama becomes, <br>
the less capable he will be of carrying through on his bullying threats <br>
against Israel and against fellow democracies around the world.<br>

The old Yiddish saying ; Man plans ,God laugh's, a modernized version for <br>
our time ; Israel plans God laughs.<br>
For so long Israel has held the great and super powerful United States up <br>
high on a pedestal ,becoming dependant on it for promises of security and <br>
peace, all false. In a short time it's all been blown away by a slick <br>
talking punk from Chicago.<br>
Israel has kept ultra loyal the US led peace agenda in spite of it's 100% <br>
failure rate since it was implemented in 1993 on the White House lawn, all <br>
the while ignoring their God and His peace plan.<br>
Exuddus 23:27-33I will send My fear before you, I will cause confusion <br>
among all the people to whom you come, and will make all your enemies turn <br>
their backs to you. And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive <br>
out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite from before you. I will not <br>
drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate <br>
and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. Little by little <br>
I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you <br>
inherit the land. And I will set your bounds from the Red Sea to the sea, <br>
Philistia, and from the desert to the River. For I will deliver the <br>
inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out <br>
before you. You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. <br>
They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me. For <br>
if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.<br>
Blind obedience to the thing on the high pedestal while ignoring God is <br>
not a good thing.<br>
As Caroline points out so well ,the object on Israel's devotion and trust <br>
is reduced to a nation led by dangerous idiots not to be trusted.<br>
God has shattered your false hope into a thousand pieces.<br>
He is now removing from Israel the delusion of trusting in peace without <br>
Him.It's always better and less painful to do it His way and not trust in <br>
slick talking hustlers from Chicago or Skull &amp; Bonesman from Crawford, <br>
Texas. It's past time to return to Him and throw away the worthless idols <br>
which cannot save.<br>

In so many ways the Jewish people have saved many lives and made our <br>
modern world possible. How could anyone doubt that God's chosen is Israel? <br>
Why would anyone not want a Jew for a friend or neighbor? I'm an American <br>
soldier who thanks God for the Jewish state and prays for Israel daily. I <br>
was thankful for the IAF in Desert Storm. If not for Operation Opera in <br>
'79 things would certainly have been more dangerous for everyone.<br>
I fear for America under the terms of Bereshit 12:3. This gentile American <br>
is singing HaTikvah, loathing this uniform and praying for wisdom and <br>
courage for our Generals, the IDF/AF and Prime Minister Netanyahu. If he <br>
can carry a hallel in a bucket, I hope it's not too late for an encore.<br>

It's obvious that Israel would better off with a politically weakened <br>
President Obama. If the Obama Administration continues to bungle its <br>
foreign and domestic policies, the President could become a lame duck <br>
sooner. As President Obama weakens, his conservative rivals are <br>
fine-tuning their message for 2012. President Obama's misguided engagement <br>
strategy has emboldened Iran to continue with its diabolical nuclear <br>
program. And Mr. Obama may turnout to be a one-term wonder that <br>
disappointed neo-liberals nave enough to believe in him.<br>

I agree 100% with Marcel. I think a weaker Obama would be better for <br>
America too. He seems bent on doing as much damage as possible in the time <br>
that he has. The scary part is, I think he knows exactly what he's doing.<br>
As for Brzezinski, what an imbecile of a foreign policy adviser! In that <br>
capacity, he should be sensitive of issues affecting all nations. However, <br>
he chooses to offend all concerned except the most offensive, namely Iran.<br>
He completely discredits a friendship that has lasted hundreds of years <br>
between Israel and America. He blames Israel if the IAF doesn't back down <br>
and gets shot while defending their home and literally the world. This is <br>
the logic of terrorists.<br>
He offends the nation of Iraq by presuming Iraqi airspace to belong to the <br>
U.S. We're supposed to be defending Iraq from terrorists while they <br>
develop their own nation. Iraq doesn't want a nuclear Iran either. So, he <br>
wishes to threaten their security as well.<br>
He offends the U.S. military in Iraq by assuming they have committed an <br>
exploitative take over of Iraq for his purpose. Just as the rest of the <br>
left world has accused the U.S. of since late 2003. He should instead <br>
commend them for defending a nation not their own.<br>
He did get one thing right; America is not, &quot;impotent babies&quot;. America <br>
does have a navy. They should be offended by omission. Isn't the U.S. Navy <br>
capable of defending the Strait of Hormuz? I may be naive here but I <br>
should think it's in the best interest of Yemen, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, <br>
Kuwait, Iraq and even Iran to keep the strait open. The U.S. Navy should <br>
find good company with such a mission. That would be unthinkable for <br>
Zbigniew as God's people could benefit from such a move.<br>
One happy side I hear from Joel Rosenburg, is that the more Ahmadinejad <br>
rants on like Psalm 83:2-8, the more Iranians are praying for Israel. I <br>
hear that 1.3 million Iranians are currently praying for the Jewish state. <br>
I just received an email from a Shiite Iraqi friend of mine to tell me how <br>
nice the people of Israel are. Hallelujah! When I met him he wouldn't say <br>
the name or acknowledge the presence of Israel. Millions of Americans are <br>
praying regularly now for Israel. I ponder at what point will Obama's <br>
administration want Ahmadinejad to shut up. Not soon enough for either <br>
side. The only good thing my small mind and human eyes can see is maybe an <br>
Iranian missile could clear the Threshing Floor. I'm curious to see how <br>
Jerusalem will be protected. At any rate I will feel safer in Jerusalem <br>
than in Washington, D.C.<br>

A part of Brzezinski's interview that you don't highlight shows the depth <br>
of his anti-Israel sentiment. He speaks of &quot;a Liberty in reverse.&quot; The USS <br>
Liberty was a technical research vessel collecting intel, attacked by <br>
Israeli forces during the Six-Day War. Both the Israeli and U.S. <br>
governments concluded the attack was an accident, a mistake. Brzezinski <br>
apparently believes it was deliberate -- otherwise, a deliberate attack on <br>
Israeli aircraft could not be &quot;a Liberty in reverse.&quot; (My husband, aka <br>
&quot;The Hoosier Gadfly&quot; (<a href="http://paulhager.org/wordpress/">http://paulhager.<wbr>org/wordpress/</a>)) is the one who <br>
alerted me on this point.)<br>

Quote:The UN's institutional hostility toward Israel is surpassed only by <br>
that of the Arab League and the Organization of the Islamic Conference.<br>
<br>
At least these two have some excuse -the Arab league is made uo of <br>
Muslims, and the UN is made up of members who have dire need of oil. But <br>
the hostility of the state funded BBC towards Israel, has no such excuse.<br>
<br>
Now for Zbigniew Brzezinski. Wasn't he the secretary of state in the <br>
Carter era? He just about got everything wrong then - both major and <br>
minor. His legacy is the Khomeini Islamist regime, whose nuclear ambitions <br>
are the cause of so much disarray in the West and Israel. So why is anyone <br>
giving him the time of day? If Obama is doing so, then it indicates the <br>
shallowness of Obama and his team.<br>

Caroline, Brzesinski is just one of a number of the liberal left wing nuts <br>
who are coming out of the woodwork in support of Obama, a dark skin Jimmy <br>
Carter resurrected.<br>
<br>
Bill OReilly in his book Culture Warrior talks about the secular <br>
progressive, disciples of George Soros.<br>
<br>
With the advent of Obama arriving on the scene, they are growing strong <br>
like grass seeds in early spring.<br>
<br>
You have to wonder what the kool-aid drinkers are thinking, is this the <br>
same candidate Obama? Fooled you didnt he.<br>
<br>
To say Obama is not an anti-Semite is like saying birds dont fly. He acts <br>
like a cheerleader for the Palestinians while scolding Israel for her <br>
existence.<br>
<br>
I personal object to his behavior towards Israel, our good friend, trusted <br>
ally and a democracy the only one in the ME.<br>
<br>
Obama would not think of instructing any other sovereign nation such as <br>
Canada, GB, France and Germany on how to run their governments therefore <br>
where does he come off dictating to Israel also a sovereign nation?<br>
<br>
His arrogance is showing more and more with his failure to convince the <br>
American public to accept his health plan and other bad programs.<br>
<br>
He is over exposing himself for the fool he is. Every time you tune in, he <br>
is on TV trying to sell his wares. Sometimes I think its like the &quot;Big <br>
Brother&quot; syndrome; he is watching us through the TV. A word to the wise <br>
is; be sure to turn off your TV in the bedroom, the creep.<br>
<br>
He has awakened Americans from the slumber and the next several elections <br>
should seal his fate as a lame duck. (Sorry ducks didnt mean to be <br>
disrespectful)<wbr>.<br>
<br>
Israel has to avoid meeting with any of his delegates and go about their <br>
business as usual and doing what is best for Israel, remember his views do <br>
not reflect the attitude of the Americans towards Israel, they are his own <br>
and those of his administration.<br>

An enfeebled Obama is not only less of a threat to Israel, but also for <br>
those of us in the USA who love our country and those who support Israel. <br>
The glitz and glitter is quickly fading from Obama and the short-lived <br>

America. Thank you Caroline for your eye-opening commentary.<br>

Brzezinski is an interesting character. I suspect much of his foreign <br>
policy prescriptions lie in his perhaps unconscious attachment to Polish <br>
nationalism and historic antagonisms flowing there from (e.g., the <br>
liquidation of the Polish officer corps and intelligentsia at Katyn, <br>
non-Polish Party bosses who assumed control of Poland post-war). He would <br>
benefit greatly by being informed that exclusive territory, in the form of <br>
Israel, is the indispensable guarantor of the genetic continuity of the <br>
Jewish people; no less than his beloved Poland. Of course, given his <br>
neo-liberal appointments, the degree to which he actually cares for the <br>
continuation of the very being of his own people - that is their genetic <br>
continuity - and the passing own of European Man more generally, is <br>
debatable.<br>

Speaking for myself, I can say without hesitation that is of the highest <br>
concern to me.<br>

<br>
Back in 2005 after Israeli Prime Minister Sharon 'the Bulldozer' was <br>
reduced to a limp noodle after his White House meeting with President <br>
Bush, word came that PM Sharon would soon ethnically cleanse all Jews from <br>
their homes and land in Gush Katif (Gaza) to please this treacherous and <br>
evil betrayer of Israel.<br>
P.M.Sharon was threatened by the President and it worked.<br>
This was hidden by almost all the media and his faithful dumb Republican <br>
voters never dug deep to find out what REALLY happened.<br>
Just like the loyal see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil monkeys they <br>
are they covered it up so as not to question their demi-god.<br>
These hypocrites and phony supporters of Israel in empty words only, even <br>
supported this fraud in the 2004 elections,2 years after he had become the <br>
first president to call for a Palestinian state and after 4 years of <br>
always restraining and pressuring Israel and rewarding the Islamic <br>
terrorists of the Palestinian variety.<br>
Some voices rose up to resist this evil and one of them was a Christian <br>
Pastor from Oklohama who promised to bring thousands of Christian <br>
supporters to Israel.<br>
It was all hot air false hope, empty hype that got the Jews targeted by <br>
President Bush hopes dashed.<br>
Even after this successful move by the president to begin implementing his <br>
final 2 state solution under the turncoat Sharon the faithful idiots on <br>
the right continued to suppport their evil president.<br>
Now they are brave to rail against the other hypocrite and evil one on the <br>
left Obama.<br>
You can be sure their silence will return when another fraud with an R. <br>
after his name arises. They are easily duped.<br>
The only reason empty talkers still offer Israel false hope of a future <br>
election to change anything is that they are the blind leading the blind <br>
as it was this pastor from Oklohama who was himself deceived by the wolf <br>
in sheeps costume Bush.<br>
All it takes is a good speech and a bible in hand and these slaves bow and <br>
worship on cue.<br>
The Pastor gave the Jews of Gush Katif false hope with usleless words of <br>
support that amounted no nothing.<br>
How was it that so many supporters of Israel were decieved by this snake <br>
Bush?<br>
They suffer from the same fatal disease of their fellow travelers the <br>
Donkey worshipers.<br>
It is because they are in bondage to their elephant god they worship known <br>
as GOP. Whatever has the stamp of the elephant is holy to theses blind <br>
fools.<br>
The Republican party like it's sister the Democrat party have the final <br>
solution Road Map to divide Israel as their Party Platform so it is a lie <br>
that a replacemet for Obama will do anything good for Israel.Your only <br>
hope is in God and wicked, perverted America is cursed ,finished.<br>

While I appreciate Caroline's brilliant journalistic style and ability to <br>
&quot;tell it like it is&quot; (w/o nods to political correctness etc) - I would <br>
object her consistent portrayal of Obama's administration as sworn (albeit <br>
denying that) enemies of Israel who only think about giving its blood to <br>
its REAL enemies - we all know who they are. I disagree that &quot;the best <br>
Obama is a weakened one&quot; (paraphrasing famous saying). His team did <br>
attempt to apply &quot;even handed&quot; approach to the Israel-Arab conflict <br>
resolution but it obviously didn't work b/c Arabs are not willing to <br>
negotiate peace seriously as we all know. But there are signs that they <br>
(Obama team) learn at least on their mistakes - which I couldn't say about <br>
&quot;team Bush&quot; and adjust their standing. That applies to the hyped issues of <br>
&quot;settlements&quot; (which I agree are very very minor issue compared to Arab <br>
incitement and refusal to recognize Israel as Jewish state). Here's what <br>
Netaniyahu said on the subject in his recent CNN interview:<br>
------------<wbr>---------<wbr>---------<wbr>---------<wbr>--------<br>
BLITZER: Mr. Prime Minister, there was an op-ed article written in &quot; The <br>
New York Times&quot; back in July by an Israeli journalist named Aluf Benn, who <br>
writes for the &quot;Haaretz&quot; newspaper. And, among other things, he said that <br>
President Obama is ignoring Israel, has not visited Israel, even though <br>
he's been to several Arab countries, and he's not reaching out to the <br>
Israeli people, the way he's reaching out to the Arab and Muslim world. He <br>
hasn't given any interviews, as far as I know, to the Israeli press, for <br>
example, or Israeli television. Do you agree with that assessment?<br>
<br>
NETANYAHU: I think that people should not rush to judgment. I think that <br>
these are two new administrations, my own new government and the new <br>
government in Washington. We have found a way to communicate. I think we <br>
have resolved a lot of the issues between us. We can have differences. <br>
That happens among the best of friends. It even happens in our own <br>
families.<br>
<br>
But I think there's a growing closeness that I have found. What people <br>
don't know - and I'm not referring to the public diplomacy - but I want to <br>
tell you something about private diplomacy. There's virtually not a day <br>
that goes by that the Obama administration and my own government don't <br>
communicate on a very senior level on very important matters in a very <br>
confidential and respectful way.<br>
<br>
And I say that advisedly. I'm choosing my words carefully. There's barely <br>
a day that goes by without that happening. So, that should give you some <br>
indication of the growing, of the closeness of that relationship. And it's <br>
getting better, for sure. There's no question about it.<br>
------------<wbr>---------<wbr>---------<wbr>---------<wbr>-------<br>
<br>
I know I will draw ire of most of readers of this blog - but let us all <br>
try to be more fact based and unbiased - after all that's what Israel <br>
demands on UN and other institutions that &quot;investigate&quot; Gaza operation. <br>
Thanks!<br>

While the analysis is great my concern is how to stop this Obama creep <br>
from destroying all of us and our respective countries. Bush at least is a <br>
Christian and saw things from that perspective, and still did things that <br>
I do not consider good for my country. Such as not stopping Islamic <br>
immigration after 9/11. Frankly we still treat the Saudi's as though they <br>
are our friends, and they ARE NOT! Bush could have taken out the suspected <br>
Iranian nuclear sites at any time from Iraq. What kind of morons really <br>
believe it is for tiny Israel to solve the &quot;Iranian problem&quot; because they <br>
are threatened? So are we, and we aren't doing it!<br>

That Obama does what he does is understandable - he's a Jew-hating, <br>
empty-headed Moslem, doing some behind-the-scenes-<wbr>big-boy's bidding. That <br>
his Jewish supporters can participate in this destruction of America and <br>
Israel - this is the real amazement.<br>

Every time I watch Obama and his attempts at foreign policy, I'm reminded <br>
of the words of Thomas Paine: &quot;Men who look upon themselves born to reign, <br>
and others to obey, soon grow insolent; selected from the rest of mankind <br>
their minds are early poisoned by importance; and the world they act in <br>
differs so materially from the world at large, that they have but little <br>
opportunity of knowing it's true interests, and when they succeed to the <br>
government are frequently the most ignorant and unfit of any throughout <br>
the dominions.&quot;<br>

Thought Experiment:<br>

If Barack Hussein Obama were an Iranian sleeper agent tasked with <br>
attaining the US Presidency and then degrading the US strategic position <br>
relative to the Islamic Axis, what would he have done differently, and <br>
what would be doing differently now?<br>

Letter to an acquantiance.<br>
Dear J.<br>
I don't think Afghanistan is the last stroke of the hand or pen,it's just <br>
one on many wars that have worn out our military and wasted hundreds of <br>
billlions of dollars.<br>
For some time I've seen that America under God's curse will fail at <br>
everything,so the government/media is reduced to lying about how great <br>
everything is and holding confrences and meetings where blah, blah, blah is <br>
all that's accomplished.<br>
The Bush Clinton,Bush criminals have brought America to the point of no <br>
return, the price of their destroy Israel by peace scheme.<br>
Genesis 12:3 is in effect and Obama is just leading the final charge over <br>
the cliff.<br>
<br>
Back in the mid 90's when I saw the remains of the public transport bus on <br>
Jaffa and Sari Yisrael St. in Jerusalem where a Palestinian suicide bomber <br>
killed so many men women and children and heard the Bully US incessant <br>
pressure for Israel to restrain it's response for their fake peace I knew <br>
God was going to start killing young American's for this evil.<br>
<br>
It happened with the Afghan and Iraq war and continues with no end in <br>
sight.<br>
They are repeats of the failed Vietnam war only with terminal <br>
consequences.<br>
Our enemies see us as vunerable and worn out ,a perfect time to make their <br>
move against us.<br>
I still think the end (US) is tied to Iran's EVENTUAL surprise move.<br>
They have patiently worked towards their goal for some time and are very <br>
close to the endgame.<br>
So far no EU figure is speaking great things and blasphemies.<br>
Islam is making great moves in Europe and in the US with the help of the <br>
godless left. It's God's judgment on the west and Israel suffers the same <br>
judgment for their faithless ways.<br>
God has allowed Israel to get pushed up against the wall where they will <br>
have to push back hard against Islam.<br>
The vise squeezes until there is a counter reaction.<br>
Jeremiah 51 :17-26 is what God is up to that most Christians don't see.<br>

Maybe Dan from Piter can chime in from his rose window but to answer Paul <br>
Kotik, I can't imagine anything done differently. If Paul's thoughts are <br>
true, Barak's cover is getting thin. That so many would still support him <br>
baffles me. Since last November's election, I've feared America is in the <br>
&quot;last daze&quot;. So far things have progressed as I suspected.<br>

In these most dangerous times when Western civilization is under a mortal <br>
threat by apocalyptic zealots, Obamas irretrievably political naivety and <br>
idealistic foreign policy divinations against irreconcilable implacable <br>
foes, makes him the most dangerous president ever to occupy the White <br>
House. And as Caroline states sagely, only a politically weak Obama can <br>
prevent him from implementing policies that would fracture America from <br>
its close allies and would in turn seriously endanger the vital interests <br>
of the civilized world, and indeed, of Israel, which being an outpost of <br>
Western civilization among barbarians is at the forefront fighting <br>
fanatical Islam.<br>
