It has been awhile since I've used PNEWS-L at Yahoo. Many of you started wi=
th PNEWS long before we migrated to Yahoo. Some of you were here on the old=
FidoNet and some of you were with us when we used the Listserver at St Joh=
ns.=20
Lately I have been playing around with some of the social networks, first F=
acebook and then Google plus. Like so much on the InterNUT, these were new =
trends; fads which run their course. I don't doubt that you have used them =
too and most of you are likely still there on one or more of them. I think =
forums are far better. The blogs didn't work out for long. You saw them com=
e and go and the social networks will follow in that direction. If you want=
to really trade views, you need to do it in a forum and Yahoo still provid=
es, IMHO, the best venue for doing that. I also have a listserver installed=
at inyourface.info which I use for one way communications. Some of you are=
on that list (and some of you are receiving this on that list).=20
I have some configuration changes to make, but I think the best system is s=
till this one. I invite you to post your concerns here and start a discussi=
on. Be advised, I have no plans to censor what you post here. I may not agr=
ee with everything and that is all right. Post what you want. Invite others=
to exchange views with you. Lets get this list going again.=20
