second-quarter sales were foreclosures. In Nevada, it was 56% of sales. In

third of total sales.
With some companies either extending closing dates or suspending foreclosure
sales outright, and with buyers now increasingly wary of foreclosed properties

should fall significantly in the next month or two.
Do the math, and it's ugly, and not just for real estate professionals.

Who it NEEDS to be ugly for are those banks that sold the same mortgages over
and over again into different mortgage-backed securities, creating a situation
in which forced foreclosure was the only way to conceal the evidence of fraud
that could send the bankers to jail. And since, as we note below, those top
banks are owned by bank holding companies, and the Federal Reserve has
supervision over BHCs, then this criminal fraud goes right to the top.

conservatorship, could draw a total of $363 billion in Treasury Department aid
through 2013 if the housing market worsens, the Federal Housing Finance Agency
said.
The FHFA, which oversees the government-sponsored entities, offered the
estimate today as the worst-case in an analysis modeled on the stress tests
conducted on the nation’s biggest banks last year. The actual total cost to
taxpayers under the regulator’s most dire scenario would be $259 billion,
because almost 30 percent of the funds would come back to Treasury as dividend
payments on its holdings of senior preferred stock.

Between the fraud in the mortgage and securities industry, coupled with the
huge potential liability to taxpayers, it is obvious that these institutions
should not be allowed to continue to exist.
Were I a betting person, I would almost be willing to bet that we are not going

brisk rate of foreclosures (a number of them illegal, having been bundled and
oversubscribed) private home ownership may well be a part of this country's

There is a lot more water on the moon than previously believed, according to an
analysis of NASA data being published Friday, a finding that may bolster the
case for a manned base on the lunar surface.
The discovery grew out of an audacious experiment last year, when the National
Aeronautics and Space Administration slammed a spent-fuel rocket into a lunar
crater at 5,600 miles an hour, and then used a pair of orbiting satellites to
analyze the debris thrown off by the impact. They discovered that the crater
contained water in the form of ice, plus a host of other resources, including
hydrogen, ammonia, methane, mercury, sodium and silver.

all over them. She showed WCTV the oysters. Andrews believes they are a result

Borrowers are being lured into loan mod scams where they are told that they
have to be 2-3 months behind in payments before a loan mod will be considered,
then when they make application, the foreclosure process has already started
(and the claims have been made against the insurances, etc. because the loan is
in default) and the loan mod is denied “because of the foreclosure”.
In other words, the lure of mortgage modifications are being used to trap
homeowners into the foreclosure process.

Richard M. Bowen, former chief underwriter for Citigroup’s consumer-lending
group, said he warned his superiors of concerns that some types of loans in
securities didn’t conform with representations and warranties in 2006 and 2007.
“In mid-2006, I discovered that over 60 percent of these mortgages purchased
and sold were defective,” Bowen testified on April 7 before the Financial
Crisis Inquiry Commission created by Congress. “Defective mortgages increased
during 2007 to over 80 percent of production.”

This has nothing to do with the actual homeowners. What this Bloomberg report
is saying is that when an expert looked at the mortgage-backed securities being
sold by Citi, he found that most of the mortgages pledged as collateral were
not as solid Citi represented they were. Whether this includes the over-selling
of mortgages multiple times or not is not known, but indicates yet another
fraudulent activity.

Perhaps the first thing that needs to be said about the current mass strikes in
France is that they are not really about “raising the retirement age from 60 to
62”. This is rather like describing the capitalist free market as a sort of
lemonade stand. A propaganda simplification of very complex issues.

The French people have been told, "You must make do with less, so that we can
have more," and the French people are saying "Non!"
Good for the French.
Meanwhile here in the USA, we are just now learning that the entire financial
system is corrupt and criminal with the US Government aiding and abetting it,
and Americans ... do nothing. We MUST be on drugs!

size during the next three years, according to projections from the Federal
Housing Finance Agency.
The federally controlled mortgage giants will likely need at least another $73
billion and perhaps as much $215 billion from taxpayers in the next three years
to meet their financial obligations.
