Woman Dies After Jumping Off Staten Island  Ferry





STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Witnesses tell for networks media a woman  who jumped 
from the Staten Island Ferry Monday evening, was quickly rescued by  
officials in an NYPD boat.
 
The incident occurred after 5:30 p.m. in the Upper Harbor by Governor's  
Island.
 
An NYPD police boat pulled the woman, believed to be in her 30s, from the  
water seconds after she fell in.
 
The victim was rushed to NY Downtown Hospital, where she was pronounced  
dead.
 
It is believed she jumped from the boat in an attempt to commit
