That sounds like more sad news, the threat to human-computer
interaction research.

This also leads me to ask, what's the picture regarding operant
behavior laboratories?  The kind that have and can pump out JEAB
quality research?

I have the impression that these have been dying out; that as the
old-timers retire or die out their labs are closed down.  Is this
an accurate view or not?  Does anyone have any data regarding
the number of operant labs per year, from which we may discern
celeration trends?  Is the frequency of labs increasing, maintaining,
or decreasing?

How would we find out?
