My deepest thanks to Per Holth and Dave Palmer for their help in recalling
and tracking down several "Skinner on Bloomfield references." I am happy to
find out that the indexes for the three autobiographical works are so
accessible (in The Behavior Analyst no less, (1983, 6, 2), (1984, 7, 1) and
(1985 (8, 2). And, Per, the quotation from Contingencies of Reinforcement is
pure gold for what I'm trying to do, an explanation for applied linguists
that extricates Skinner from S-R psychology, part of which is historical.
