Yeah, 2 inches and the county trucks are out plowing.
That amazes me.  But if it packs down it spells trouble.
I'm going to get new brakes but my feet work okay for
slowing down.  On the recumbent its nicer putting my
feet down.  It helps in town where the frozen ruts
around main streets are rough so I can maintain my upright
position.  During the early morning hours the plows and
loaders come in to clean things up and haul & dump the
snow in the river.

Out here in small town USA the roads are pretty nice.
Up in the metropolitan area the salt coats the vehicles
white.  Bicycling there's to many droplets on my glasses
while being sprayed by passing vehicles.  I also feel
colder because of these deicing roadway splashes.
