I rode 67 miles with nearly a mile of climbing, and about 700 more
feet descent than climbing. It took me almost six hours of actual
riding and I bet it was more fun that your ride in that Barcalounger
;-}.

Damn that was a nice ride!

PS a little over 3 miles of my ride today was on a new (to me) bike
path that climbs 900 feet in 3.2 miles. It is built on a part of US 70
that had been closed, and completely overgrown, for several decades.
Now it has a great  single lane of new asphalt which makes it possible
to ride, on pavement , into or out of,  Asheville to/from the east
along the I-40 corridor. Incredibly nice riding with what looked like
some excellent places for stealth camping.
