Re: Rights vs. Responsibility

Thanks for posting these videos. I was here in Portland then and at
other times when we've had snow, but have never seen video footage of
out of control cars sliding around. I generally ride home carefully
and then walk or ride the bus if I have to go a long way until it
melts - often within a day or less (which seems to be the case in the
cycling video).

The driving video illustrates why I don't choose to ride. I don't mind
snow. It's the slickness created by cars packing down the snow as well
as thaws followed by freezing - can be quite treacherous. When it's
really slick out, I wear spikes on my shoes and take my ski poles.
