I can slap my wet Capilene /Polarfleece stuff against something .
the moisture  gets flung,  off the fabric , and I put it back on.
as its not absorbed in the hair. [of the sheep]

When discussing wool versus plastic insulations and fabrics such as
the Polarfleece brand, etc. it is good to keep in mind that wool has a
naturally anti-microbial and anti-fungal component, which explains
wool's resistance to body odor, versus all plastic insulations and
fabrics, which exhibit no such properties.

Adding complexity to this are the very latest generation of fabrics
which use silver as an anti-microbial and anti-fungal combatant.

Both types of fabrics have their advantages and drawbacks, I'm just
saying to keep this other trait in mind when making your choices.
