I was riding west on Highway Alt. 14 in northern Wyoming from Lovell to Cody 
and had a plane to catch. The terrain looked flat but no way could I get 
faster than about 8mph. As time ticked away, I finally realized that I 
wasn't going to make it in time so stepped off and thumbed a ride from a guy 
coming by in a pickup. Later I checked elevations and found there was over a 
2000 foot climb in 25 miles. Made it just in time to throw my bike in the 
box and get on the airplane.
