Frank,

The steri strips are a pain and don't stick all that well without the
mastisol and believe it or not, the staples really do NOT hurt. As for the
scar....well, a scar is just another scar, I already have a bunch of them ;(

Might I suggest carrying steri strips instead :)

They're lighter, smaller, easier and less painful to apply, and have a nicer
(too wusses like me) looking scar after the fact.

I couldn't imagine walking around with staplers hanging from a bleeding leg.
