If you are behind the wheel, it is your responsibility to operate it safely. You are not sitting in your living room, and you cannot behave like you are. If you are driving, and not paying attention, there should be some consequences. I'm not suggesting the death penalty, but until we start to crack down on this type of behavior, more people will die needlessly. Is it really THAT important to turn around and talk to your kid, or send or receive that text message? Sure there are times when I momentarily take my eyes off the road when I'm driving, but I make sure it is absolutely, 100% safe to do so. John -- John Wood Open Road Bicycles Missoula, Montana, USA
