Re: your worst touring bike

Touring through the mountains of Virginia/West Virginia in 1975 on  
my  Bob Jackson running a Regina Oro corncob 5 speed free wheel and  
Campy Nuevo Record groupo.  I had panniers and a handlebar bag. I can  
remember repeatedly pushing down on the down tube shifter seeking  
relief on those climbs to no avail

A beautiful *ROAD*bike that I still have but geared for speed.
