I have always used Castrol and they do a Magnatec For Basic Engines that
is the correct viscosity (according to Caterham - 10w/40) - also Comma
do a semi-synthetic at 10w/40 called EuroLite that I think had some form
of Caterham endorsement in the display panel at Camberley Auto Factors.

Can anyone recommend a GOOD 20-50 oil for the Xflow?  I'm convinced that
the engine runs
better on it, and achieves better oil pressure when hot, but all the
stuff in the shops round here is of the "dead cheap, your engine must be
k*******d anyway, so it doesn't matter what you put in it" variety.  Or,
what do others use?
(from proud first-time rebuilder of a Xflow that actually WORKS! - it
only took 6 months)
