The glow starts when I run the engine at 3500 or so for a couple of 
minutes.  At idle things look OK.  I've sprayed carb cleaner around the 
soft mounts looking for an air leak and there is no change in the idle, 
so no apparent leak.  I'll hold off swapping the carbs for now but that 
is an interesting option.
