I agree too, that's how I run my motec logger.  I've got a stack beacon
transmitter and receiver and the motec's been set up to receive the stack
input but in all the years of first stack logging then motec logging I've
only put the transmitter out once.  I've got a steering wheel button in
parallel with the beacon input and just use that.

Thats what Race Technology did with their DL90 data logger, they borrowed my
stack stuff one winter and copied it.  It's off the car again now if thats
useful....
