My 63 Lotus SII

Well at 10.30pm last night CST it started for the first time in many years.

Pulled out the plugs and cranked her over with the pressure return
disconnected to bleed out the air. Then more cranking until I got good oil
pressure.

Put the plugs back.

Turned on the fuel pump and set the fuel pressure.

Turned on the ignition and cranked about 1/2sec and she started!

Very loud!!!

Stoped fitted the muffler in place of the last bit of exhaust.

Still very loud. Wife complains retire for the evening.

First race weekend 31st Oct, 1st/2nd Nov!

All that is left now is to fit the bodywork, the remote shift extension, the
fire extinguisher, some breather pipes (fittings on order should be here
tonight), make the seat, mirrors, seatbelts, rollbar padding and the time
consuming one of aligning the suspension and setting the corner weights. 6
weekday evenings and the weekend so I should be in good shape.

Oh I almost forgot I need to reattach the steering wheel!

Somewhere in there I need to pack the trailer and motorhome.
