I'm was playing again last night & twiddling, pulling & shoving wires & pipes etc (with the iacv out & ignition on & off) I found a blue wire that looked as if it was shorting at the back of the block (just tightly kinked & insulation pressed in) BUT moving this wire caused the iacv to 'tremble' & move a bit, this led to a sensor in the water rail & the spade terminal could be revolved thro 120+ degrees!!!!!!!!! I put everything back & started the engine. Moving the spade connector thro the 120 degs caused the engine to increase or decrease revs. Hoped this was the temp sender to ECU - BUT IT ISN'T - it's simply the temp gauge wire (temp gauge doesn't & has never fluctuated, it stays @ 78/80) I've ordered a new one form Caterham so when it arrives I'll fit it & reset the iacv stepper motor (providing I've not totalled it) back to it's base idle position and see wot happens. "may be something to do with inducted noise?????" don't know??? rog ------------------------------------------------- To manage your subscription options visit :- http://mailman.se7ens.net/mailman/listinfo/sevens
