Mistake was choosing a ford.... should choose a jap car - look round for the old ones, that gives an indication of tin worm resistance as they can suffer from that and it should be fine. Old Cavaliers are appartenly quite good. Had a headlight motor fail on my 15yr old Honda once, should have kept it as a run arround, but did not have the space.
