From: "Tor Atle Lunde" <[email protected]> > I would suggest something like a 2-3 year old diesel Mondeo or Focus > , or if you want the prestige (!?) a similar age Passat/Golf TDI. That's just not going to happen :-) I don't drive nearly enough to care about fuel costs, and even though there's been improvements a diesel is still a diesel and I can't stand the knocking sound. Tor Atle -------------- a cheap(ish) 944 would be the way to go if you dont want to spend mega money on a daily driver but want something fun and (semi-)practical. other things i have considered are a mk1 mr2 - very reliable and dirt cheap. i shall probably go this route (944) next year when i finish paying for the westie - thats if I can bare to have a hard top otherwise it will be an mx5. i might consider stretching the budget and going for a convertible 944 but that will have to come at the price of upgrade bits for the westie which may not be the best idea. mike ----------------------------------------- The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or privileged material.
