International Istanbul Tango Festival - May Update Dear Tango Friends, We have 2 months left to our 8th festival opening and we would like to inform you on the latest progress of the festival. Our idea is to encourage you to reserve your rooms in the hotels and places in classes/milongas since July is high season in Istanbul. Please remember that the shuttles will be available from/to hotels to/from class and milonga locations for safe, cheap and secure transportation so that you enjoy with festival without worry. Below is the flow of the festival with additional components and details since the last update; 6th July - till 04:00 AM ---------- + Free Bosphorus tour (explore beautiful Istanbul from the sea shore and browse two continents at the same time while you complete your registration) + Happy hour by the pool in the festival facilities (%50 discount over the regular prices. Enjoy, relax and widen your tango network while you get rid of the flight impact) + Utilize the pool always during the whole festival with %50 discounts. Take your classes and reach to the pool in 30 seconds. Get rest Get ready to the next class Get ready to the milongas + Join to the opening milonga at the world's one of the best historical universities founded in 1883. Feel the original history atmosphere in the saloon and dance where once the worldwide scientists were walking. + Enjoy the duo at pre-milonga welcome in this authentic atmosphere by Alexandru (Guitar) and Ioana (Voice) from Romania. You will be fascinated by their performances. + Enjoy the milonga with DJ Duo (Manuk and Semeon) at night. See how good DJs can comply to each other and eye/ear witness it. 7th July - till 05:00 AM ---------- + You will be dancing in the palace. 600 M2 square, uninterrupted breathtaking atmosphere. One of the best shots of the Bosphorus is available on that hill. + Orchestra Soledad will perform strictly traditional repertoire and if still did not listen to them you will not forget this performance. + While maestros will open the festival by their welcome dances, Adrian and Alejandra will perform. + While the DJ DarkOH plays 100% traditional golden age music, our VJ Pierre will perform live festival video effect show on 2 giant screens. Do not simply get rest while sit, continue to enjoy. 8th July - till 05:00 ---------- + Enjoy the stage shows by local talents with the live music of Orchestra Soledad for only 12,5 Euro before the milonga + Following the stage show, use shuttles to join to the milonga at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University that is founded in 1882. We will deploy 600 m2 portable wooden floor in the garden of the university. +There is no such a panoramic view of Bosphorus. You will touch to the water of Bosphorus while you dance 50 cm next to it. There has been already thousands of pictures that participants took in this milonga to refresh their memories during the past festivals. The buffet will be open till morning for food and beverages with very reasonable prices. + Sebastian and Mariana will perform. We will also see progress of the local talents in the dances of Utku and Elif from Istanbul + DJ OK will take international crowd from around 50 countries dance till morning. 9th july - till 05:00 --------- + Since you never get enough with the atmosphere of Fine Arts Universtiy here is the second night at the same place. + Damian - Celine and Ruben - Sabrina will make the night unforgettable. + DJOerg is from Germany and already has funs from many marathons. 10th July- till 05:00 ------------ + We are again in Fine Arts University but this time in its modern campus where we have 700 m2 uninterrupted dance saloon. We will witness how modern architecture competes with historical one. + Orchestra La Ideal has now great experience in festivals and will share 100% authentic tango music from the golden age. There will be more stronger formation this time and the guest singer is someone you know very well. + DJ Mara is the only female DJ of the festival and has great taste... + The buffet will be in the same floor (excluding 700 m2) + The maestros will close the festival. They always make a surprise and get ready for the next one.
