Your weight & style of riding would define "fine the way it is." imo. I found the stock set up lacking for the style of riding I do. With the Race Tech front end & an after market rear shock, I'm very impressed with the handling of my '02. Also, up here in CT. our roads are far from smooth. Leaned over in a fast bumpy sweeper, the bike is planted now. Very confident inspiring.
