Well, I just ordered a new Strada rear from American Motorcycle Tire for 115
shipped. Oneida was 20 bucks more. Then I went to Pirelli's website to
order the free front. I noticed that the rear has to be purchased from an
authorized Parts Unlimited dealer. They give a list of dealers, don't know
if it's all inclusive or not, and American isn't on the list. I also had
the tire shipped to a different address than the credit card address. Their
website program picked up the street address from the shipping address
fields and the city, state and zip from the billing address fields. So
they're going to try to ship it to a non-existent address. They also want
the original receipt mailed in, which I assume means I have to wait for the
rear tire to arrive and hope it comes with a paper receipt, I guess I can't
use the email receipt they gave me. And they want it received in their
office in 14 days. Sheeeeeesh.

I participated in the first free front tire offer on the Diablos and I got
the tire eventually, but I remember going thru a bunch of hassle and delays.
I hope this one goes better.

Just thought I'd pass this all along for those who are going for it...I'm
not saying don't do it...just be aware of what's involved.
