Jim is sort-of correct.  The SV650S was first built in '99, but only
available to us Canucks.  A lot of the 2000's were imported to the US by
private individuals, but was not a "dealer sold" bike in the US until 2001.
AFAIK, the naked 650 was available in 2000 (in the US,) I don't know about
the '99.
We Canadians, OTOH, didn't get the naked version until either '01 or '02, I
can't remember.

And ask Don, the Yellow was the fastest, especially when fog lights were
attached.
