I have a pre-efi '02 that's always done this. Much more twitchy than
my BMW (K1200RS), which has a lot more power. I'm just glad the SV
_doesn't_ have the power or I'd be wheelieing all over the place. I'm
not especially happy with it though.

I bet it has to do with the flywheel - I bet the SV's got a tiny one.

On the EFI model though, it could be fuel injection hunting - I think
that's what it's called. The FI hunts around for the right mix to
provide (some bike-techier person can probably expound more on this).
