Have you actually tried loading and unloading a bike from your
average van? I've done it a couple of times and it was not fun. The
problem being the height of the rear (or side door for that matter)
doors. I found it to be very tricky. If there is someone you know who
has a van, try loading and unloading to see if you want to endure
that situation very many times. In general I agree with the listers
who recommend a van over a pick-up truck but just be aware of the
door height factor before plunking down $ for a van. Best of luck on
