Roger: I think you might have a problem. Mine is also an '03 EFI and do not have that problem. If I do feed some throttle just off of idle, LOOK OUT. My best guess, and I do mean GUESS, is that there might be a processor mapping glitch or faulty sensor. I've not delved into the specifics of an SV's electronics but generally injection systems have air mass, crank position, engine temp. and throttle position sensors that feed info to the "brain".
