I have not ridden the speed triple, but I am already in love with it. The styling of that bike is awesome, it is surely at the top of my "next bike" list. Why not make the 120 mile round trip and see what you can do for a demo ride? You can drool over the s3 while you are at the dealer if nothing else. --Dan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joe Fanelli" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 07, 2006 6:09 AM Subject: SV/Speed Triple comparo Back in March of 99 I begged my local dealer to find me an SV 650. I have loved every second I have spent on that bike, but last May it was taken out by a driver making a right turn from the left turn only lane. While the damage is repairable, her insurance company has made it a stipulation that I not repair the bike until they decide to settle, whatever year that happens to be. Since I am keeping my bike, there is no point in getting another SV, but the new Speed Triple seems to fill a similar mission, but with more cojones. Does anyone on the list have any seat time on the new style triple? I'm really looking for an SV rider's perspective, not one from a die hard Triumph fan. The local Triumph dealer isn't far ( 120 mile round trip) but I don't have a relationship with them, so a demo ride will be a bit difficult. ------------------------------------------------- For all your SV needs: http://www.svrider.com To change your list settings or leave SV650-L, please visit http://www.hawkgt.com/sv650/lists.asp
