Re: SV/Speed Triple comparo

Well, I sort of qualify. I have a decent amount of seat time on a 1st
gen SV, currently ride a Speed Four, and have plenty of rides on the
speed triple.

Really, the speed four is more in the SVs class, although it has a more
adjustable susp and more power. The speed triple has A LOT more power,
especially low end grunt. It has more power in every area of the tach.
Again, the suspension is head an shoulders above the SV front and rear.
I LOVE the speed triple and if I could blow almost $10k on a bike right
now, it would be on my short list. That said, you can just about get 2
SVs for that.

The daytona 675 is a *magical* bike. It's like nothing else I've ever
ridden. About as close as I can come to describing it is a more
forgiving and more confortable GSXR 600. It was razor sharp handling, a
great power band, and sexy looks. If you can handle the racier ergos
that would be the one to get. The downside is every triumph dealer I've
talked to is already sold out of their 2006 allocation for the bike.
