Thanks for the detailed account. As one who has yet to experiend their firs=

track day, your narrative was extremely interesting and informative. I look
forward with great anticipation to Part 2 and beyond. And if you bought any
of the pics your mentioned in Part 1, we'd love to see 'em. Post 'em if ya
got 'em.

BTW, a couple of months back I got to talking with a guy in the group I wor=
k
in and found out he's an AMF Club racer and frequent track day dude. He's
been giving me a lot of advice on the subject. So, between Eric's account
and my co-worker's advice, my itch to do a track day is increasing daily.
This guy races an Aprilia RSV 1000R. But for commute purposes, he just
bought a salvage '03 SV650 (bright yellow, which he claims is the fastest
color...go figure).

The other day I looked out into the parking lot at my bike (something I do
more than I care to admit to non SV owners) and saw that Rene had parked hi=
s
yellow SV in the same parking space as my black '02 SV. So, I kidded with
him when we ran into one another in the hallway later that day that we'd
better get a chaperone out there in the parking lot or we may find a bunch
of pocket bikes running around the lot some day.
