Yeah, from experience, I can tell you that you better
get good pants with HIP and knee protection!

In a lowside, chances are good that if anything ends up
under the bike, it's your legs. I had my ankle pinned under
my bike once. Good thing I had motorcycle boots on!

I've also, while riding had a rock or something fly up and
hit me in the shin, once again thanks to my riding pants
and shin-protecting moto boots, it didn't hurt, but I could
definitely feel that it shin breaking potential!

So, aside from crashes and weather protection, good
full body gear protects you from "random crap flying off
a pickup, or kicked up by spinning tires" as well!

Good luck with your purchase, and don't skimp if you can!
