I never met a deer I liked and I have had several close encounters with them
in various parts of the NW. But, the hairiest near miss was at the bottom of
Rattlesnake Grade headed back towards Orygun. A young buck whitetail decided
to run along side me as I was desperately scrubbing speed and, as I
anticipated, the stupid son of a beyatch darted right into my path but,
fortunately I had slud to a stop at that very moment. A quick change into
clean shorts and I was back on my way..
