You might see if you can get a small vise-grip wrench on the head of the torx
nut (gripping from the outside).  Another possibility is to get an allen wrench
that won't quite fit in the torx socket and drive it in with a hammer.  Or maybe
do the same thing with the next larger torx wrench.  You get the idea.

A long shot would be to slip a 3mm allen through the nut into the end of the
mounting stud.  Long shot because 3mm isn't very big and the stud is loctited
into the mirror body...
