Mission accomplished on the reset. It brought the scanner back to some
limited life. Thanks for the tip on the case. I already have a great case for the
unit but a backup might be a good idea at that price. Here is a question for
you. Do you mix digital stations and conventional stations in the same bank?
Just curious as the cable won't be here until at least Monday.Just wondering
what I can load in each bank and expect it to work. Does the ARC250 software
notify you if you make a mistake. Does it have a decent help feature? Are
there any books on the scanner that would be a good resource? I have an older
Garmin GPS that had a manual that might as well have been written in Klingon.
One day walking through Borders, Shazam, a book dedicated to that model GPS
that straightened me out instantly. Just wondered if anyone saw anything
similar on the Bearcat. Thanks again to all and keep those suggestions coming. All
the help is greatly appreciated

One more thing I would do before you get the cable, arc250 software etc. and
programming is blank\erase the scanner back to factory condition. Press the
2, 9 and HOLD\MANUAL buttons while turning the unit on and it will
blank\erase the scanner back to factory.
