- stopped by the local Circuit City (boy, is that company going
downhill fast, or what?)...

- but i did find a nice leather case with a plastic front w/clip and
cord which fits the R2 like a glove... the entire face of the R2 is
visible (protected behind clear plastic), and squelch and func keys
are accessible on the side... i did have to punch holes for the
speaker (hint: use the vent pattern from an old power supply as a
template)...

- Belkin F8V6201, leather case (for Motorola 332)...

- sides of the case are elastic fabric, so the R2 (with the clip off)
snugly slides in...

- haven't read any opinions on the ICOM-brand case for the R2, but
from what i've seen, it is a tad expensive (considering i got my R2
new for less than $100)... the Belkin case was $14 IIRC... you will
probably find it cheaper on-line...

- btw, my R2 still stands upright on its own using this case!

- a cheaper ($4) case for use when traveling might the tiny samsonite
digital camera case available at Target..

- hope this helps someone...
