Hi Bruce, They can't block it as they would have to change the processor chip. Have you had this long, is it still under guarantee ? If you've had it a while & you've found that when pressing the buttons it now works intermittently, i would say the pcb pads & keypad pads just need abit of a clean with alcohol. If it's almost more or less brand new then sending it back to where you got it from to be fixed in the USA i don't know how they'd react finding out that it's a UK version. I would think they would just fix it without any questions because in the world of scanners, "it's legal to sell scanners but illegal to use them ", so they would just fix it for you without any questions. Ridiculous as it is if it's illegal to use them they shouldn't sell the damn things in the first place, they should make it illegal to make them & sell them. Yours, Mark.
