Hi, The version I was emailed from Butel states it is version 1.161. This seems to run in normal mode. I have tried selecting different COM ports and even changing the speed but with no success. In the R2 manual, it mentions that you can put the receiver into clone mode to clone 2 R2's. This is done by pressing TS+V/M+up arrow while the receiver is switched off, then pressing the power switch to turn it on while still holding the other 3 buttons together (quite tricky!). The word "Clone" then appears on the display. Assuming the cable is connected and the ARC-2 program is running, pressing the squelch button now will send the data to the program and it appears correctly on the screen. However, I believe this is not being controlled by the ARC-2 program as I am unable to send anything back to the R2. Neither does the "Read from R2" function work. I believe that as the data can be received by the PC that this proves the cable is not faulty, so must be either the software or a PC configuration issue (I am using WinXP). I would be interested to hear from any other users of this software who have success with using the program - perhaps the COM port settings need to be changed.
