Hi Frank. I purchased one and would thoroughly recommend it. It is about 70 pages long from memory. It gives a lot of data about the R2 that I did not know and I have had my R2 since 2000. It gives a good explanation of squelch & how to use it, advises you about the limitations of the R2 antenna and what you can do about it. It pretty much walks you through the R2, going over all features and how to use them. It was only after reading it did I understand tone squelch and how to use it on the R2. It also has additional data on scanning in general and where to find more info and expand your knowlege. Hope this helps. Best, Geoff

Hi all - does anybody have any knowlege of the Strong Signals Press 
Manual for the R2? While the Strong Signals site gives a chapter 
guide it doesn't provide much information on, for example, how many 
pages it contains and the ability to convey information in a clearer 
form than the "Latin" of the Icom Handbook. Any comments or advice
