You must first make sure your search mode is "BAND" and not "PROGxx" (x= x being a number from 0 to 24). Press the FUNC button while pressing the BA= ND button at the same time. If the display reads "PROGxx", you must turn th= e dial/volume clockwise until you reach "BAND". Now press FUNC and VOL (up = or down) at the same time to start your frequency search. The R2 will conti= nue to search, at the same direction, until you change the rotation of the = dial, or until you press FUNC and VOL (up or down) at the same time to stop= the search.
