Hi All, If anyone is interested, I have a pair of Motorola TA 250 FRS radios for sale on eBid: http://www.ebid.co.uk/perl/objects/auction.cgi?auction=1051021441-94638-0&mo=auction They do work quite a bit better than any of the cheapo stuff I have tried out around the £50 - £70 available over here in the UK. Prob because, (A) Motorola are known for their superior reception. (B) The original cost was around £175 over here. They are however FRS (14 channel 38 sub-channel) not the PMR (8 channel 38 sub-channel) in use here. This does mean of course you are not going to be overheard by any of the PMR radios.
